Who We Are

Once placed in a St. Lawrence Place home, family members are required to participate in counseling and life skills classes such as budgeting, parenting, and credit repair.

To stay in the program, families are required to actively participate in the life skills classes, remain employed, properly maintain their apartments, pay their bills in a timely manner, and demonstrate progress in their family life plans.

St. Lawrence Place also attends to the special needs for the children who live here. Since all residents must be employed while living at St. Lawrence Place, we provide an after-school program that gives children access to healthy snacks, educational activities, and mentoring, tutoring, and cultural field trips. The knowledge that their children are being taken care of in a reliable, quality, and convenient on-site after-school program is crucial to the mothers and fathers living at St. Lawrence Place.

What We Do

St. Lawrence Place is here to help address the challenge of homelessness, a station in life that is all too prevalent among us. We provide a place of transitional housing, but more importantly, an avenue for hope, healing and change for the families who choose to enter our program.

St. Lawrence Place is an environment of 30 housing units that provides programing and transitional housing- up to two years - for qualifying families. More than bricks and mortar, St. Lawrence Place provides the structure; training and support that families in crisis need to sustain their independence.
