Orangeburg County First Steps

Orangeburg County First Steps is a local nonprofit that partners with the community and numerous organizations to prepare children to reach the first grade ready to succeed. We provide opportunities, create solutions and fund quality programs to increase school readiness outcomes for all children ages 0 to 5. We also serve as a connector and convener of early childhood stakeholders in Orangeburg County as we encourage communities to deliver, enhance and expand high-quality early childhood services.

Mission: To invest in our community, to support families and caregivers of children birth to age 5, to improve school readiness, and to ensure children realize their full potential.

Vision: Empower families in Orangeburg County to acquire, demonstrate, and value early childhood knowledge and skills that will improve school readiness and support school success.

Orangeburg County First Steps works closely with families, educators, and the community to provide support and promote the educational growth and success of children. Our partnership approach is designed to ensure that children receive the best possible opportunities for learning and development.
