Serve and Connect

Serve & Connect is a nonprofit organization committed to building community safety, resilience and well-being through police-community partnerships. Founded in memory of Forest Acres Officer Greg Alia who is remembered as an officer who served his community with compassion and respect, Serve & Connect proudly upholds those values in everything we do; with everyone we meet. In Greg’s memory, we warmly and spiritedly assist the law enforcement community in times of tragedy and celebration.

We believe that by spreading a culture of community policing across our country, we can make significant progress in public safety outcomes and create healing in the process. To accomplish our vision, we walk alongside our partners, helping them do what they were called to do in the first place: help others. We seek to understand what the challenges and opportunities are, and work together to create a plan that is tailored to each community’s unique needs. Through a commitment to data and evidence-based practices, coupled with our research-based strategies for quality implementation, dedication to consistency and service, and belief in the power of people to drive change, we help police and communities work together as one team to achieve results. We are proud to work with partners who, like us, believe healing is possible and are willing to do the hard work and heart work to bring that vision to life.
