Mission: From Day 1 to Grade 1, Richland First Steps empowers our community to nurture children, so they are ready to thrive in school.
Vision: A community committed to ensuring the school readiness of its children.
What We Do
Richland First Steps works as a partnership with people, agencies, organizations, and institutions to enable families to assist their children to enter first grade healthy and ready to thrive in school. Our focus is on children up to age 5 and their caregivers, including parents and child care providers, working to:
- Increase capacity with parents, guardians and child care providers
- Maximize early brain development
- Promote a healthy start
- Advocate the importance of play
- Establish foundation of literacy (early reading)
