Volunteer: Palmetto Trail 10K True to the Brew Race Series

Come and volunteer to assist the Palmetto Trail, South Carolina's premier cross-state hiking and biking trail, during our annual True to the Brew 10K Race along our peak to Prosperity Passage north of Columbia! We are looking for volunteers to assist us with helping direct parking and racers, hand out water at stations, and congratulate and award runners upon completion of the race. If you are passionate about outdoor recreation and physical fitness, this is a great opportunity to become more involved in your community!

Volunteers are a crucial element in building, maintaining, and protecting the Palmetto Trail. Each year thousands of volunteer hours are put forth to create a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience for all Trail users. Trail Volunteers work in a group setting. Projects are dependent on the needs of the trail in that area. Trail work may include:

Clearing overgrown vegetation on the Trail Cutting and removing fallen trees to clear a blocked passage  Maintaining and constructing structures such as boardwalks, turnpikes, or puncheons Removing trash and debris  Updating signage
