Who We Are
Pathways to Healing advocates and supports survivors in recovery from the trauma associated with sexual assault and abuse and educates the community to identify and prevent sexual violence.
What We Do
PTH is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, incorporated in 1983. One of 15 rape crisis centers in South Carolina, PTH provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and support services to female and male child, adolescent, and/or adult survivors of sexual assault and abuse in Richland, Lexington, Newberry, and Sumter counties and education about sexual trauma.
PTH responds to all survivors who report an assault at a hospital in Richland, Lexington, Newberry, or Sumter Counties, even if the assault did not take place in those counties or if the survivor does not live in those counties. Our counseling services are available to all survivors and supporting family members over age 12. PTH can provide a referral for trauma-specific counseling for children under the age of 12. Generous support from the community allows us to offer all services free of charge.
Our prevention education programs can be customized to meet the needs of the audience. Some education programs are underwritten by generous grants and some are available for a fee. Please contact us to find how we can best meet your specific needs.
