EdVenture, in conjunction with Children's Trust, will be hosting the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) this fall at Caughman Road Elementary School. The program will take place on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. beginning September 11 and ending December 4. SFP is a multi-session, science-based parenting skills, children’s life skills, and family life skills training program specifically designed for at-risk families. Parents and children participate in SFP, separately and together. The program is focused on children ages 6 – 11.
EdVenture is recruiting male volunteers who are interested in engaging with children and families participating in the Strengthening Families Program, and in particular investing in children who are from single-parent households.
Training will be provided; all that is necessary is a passion for young people! Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of three 2-hour shifts.
A background check is required for this opportunity. Please email Margaret DuBose at mdubose@edventure.org to complete necessary paperwork before volunteering.
