WIP members are needed to support the United Way Breaking Down Barriers to Employment initiative occurring on October 4 at 9am at Richland Library, in the first level auditorium. Volunteers will need to arrive 15 minutes before their shift.
WIP volunteers will serve as "Navigators" and will help vendors with set-up, help unload their materials from car, and help navigate participates in common areas with questions and direction. Station navigators- on first and second levels by elevators and, escalators will greet during event.
The purpose of this event is to provide Columbia and surrounding community members who are unemployed and underemployed with job opportunities, and resources for economic advancement. Breaking Barriers Employment Resource Fair will empower participates to realize their individual potential. This is a free event for vendors and participants.
