Shine for Shelter Car Wash, a fun and meaningful community event where volunteers will work side by side with Rapid Shelter Columbia residents to support our mission. Together, we’ll wash cars, connect with neighbors, and raise funds that go directly to services for individuals experiencing homelessness. All proceeds from the car wash will benefit direct client services at Rapid Shelter Columbia.
- These services include:
Housing Support: Helping residents secure and maintain permanent housing through move-in assistance, rental support, and connection to affordable housing programs. - Healthcare Access: Providing connections to primary care, dental, vision, and mental health services.
- Life Skills & Employment Training: Offering workshops on financial literacy, job readiness, and household management to help residents regain independence.
- Substance Use & Behavioral Health Support: Peer support, counseling, and educational programs to promote overall wellness and recovery.
- Basic Necessities & Emergency Support: Assistance with food, clothing, transportation, and essential items that support daily living.
