Able SC is a Center for Independent Living (CIL), an organization not about “helping” people with disabilities, but built on the central concept of self-empowerment. It’s a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability nonprofit that provides an array of independent living services.
Able SC is growing and expanding our office space! We need volunteers to help install shelving, organize supplies, and move items from storage units to our new location. We are looking for 5-10 volunteers to spend the day helping us achieve these tasks.
The date will be January 21, 2020 and we will plan on spending the entire day on these tasks. If you can’t be there the whole time, that is fine! We would still love your support.
Our office is located at 720 Gracern Rd., Suite 106, Columbia, SC 29210. Please wear appropriate clothing (jeans and shirts you don’t mind getting dirty), including close-toed shoes if you plan to help with the storage units.
