Join YLS at the Jubilee Festival of Black History and Culture on Saturday, September 18th. This festival celebrates Columbia's Black history through demonstrations of traditional crafts, the legacy of local Black choirs, and vendors selling traditional African goods.
Historic Columbia needs volunteers to assist with a variety of jobs including assisting with kids' crafts, crowd monitoring, stage hands and more. Shifts will be 1.15 to 2 hours long with several time slots during the day.
9:30am - 11:00am Set-up (light physical labor)
10:30am - 6:00pm In-festival support (includes kids' crafts, being a stage hand, collecting surveys, and monitoring litter and trash cans)
5:45pm - 7:00pm Break-down (light physical labor)
