Join YLS at WECO Kinetic Derby Day- BGCM Kids Zone

The Boys & Girls Clubs operates Kids Zone for the City of West Columbia Kinetic Derby Day (kineticderbyday.com).  This event is from 9:30am – 3:30pm. We have typically operated about 10 activities in the Kids Zone to engage youth during the event.  We ran multiple activities last year that included JUMBO Board Games such as; Jenga, Connect Four, Bingo, Checkers, & Tic Tac Toe.  We did fun activities where the kids painted a wooden derby car that they could take with them.  Other activities included Sidewalk Chalk, Jumbo Bubbles (needed a kiddie pool full of bubble solution), Hula Hoops, Jump Ropes, & Bounce Houses. We tried to create a space that was memorable experience for the kids that participated.
