This project entails having the volunteers put together portable sensory boxes that will be utilized at each of our program areas. We will provide all of the items and boxes that you will be putting in each bin. Each bin will also need a quick reference card that will need to be laminated and affixed to the bin. You will also be preparing other materials in regard to sensory de-escalation, emotional regulation, and reducing stress levels.
Volunteer Week 2025: United Is the Way!
From April 21-26, we’re bringing together 1,000 volunteers across 100 teams to complete 100 hands-on community projects—while raising critical funds to support education, housing, and healthcare programs in the Midlands.
How It Works:
✔ Form Your Team – Gather 5-10 people ready to take action.
✔ Raise $100 Each – Every participant commits to raising at least $100 or collectively securing a team sponsorship, supporting both the host organization and United Way of the Midlands.
✔ Make a Lasting Impact – Funds raised are shared 50/50 between United Way and its impact partners, or 75/25 for local organizations beyond United Way’s network.
