Greeters:
Greeters welcome tax filers to the VITA site during the tax season. They are responsible for ensuring that tax filers have all the information needed to complete their tax returns. They ensure all tax filers feel welcomed and comfortable while they wait.
Daytime, night, and weekend shifts needed for 18 sites throughout the Midlands
Purpose of VITA : Dedicated tax preparers donate their time to make sure those with limited incomes are able to complete tax returns in a timely fashion, enabling them to receive proper tax credits and refunds. Without volunteers providing this tax preparation service, many low income families would not be able to afford to have their taxes done due to the up-front expense of paying an accountant.
Training:
No training required, must pass a code of ethics exam
