Social Science 101 will explore the life of Jane Addams, one of the most important activists in the 20th century. She founded the Hull House in Chicago to improve the lives of workers and immigrants and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931. We will read a biography of her life and discuss the meaning of work for us today.
Instructor: Dr. Joe McDonald, professor emeritus from Newberry College
