Caris Healthcare is committed to honoring and meeting the needs of Veterans in our community who are facing a life-limiting illness. We are actively recruiting Veterans willing to share their time, talents, friendship and support with fellow Veterans. Whenever possible, Caris will match our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers with a Caris patient from the same branch of service and/or the same service area. What do Veteran-to-Veteran volunteers do exactly?
- Honor a fellow veteran with the gift of your time
- Provide companionship
- Help our patients who are veterans reminisce and reflect
- Assist in ceremonies to formally recognize our patients who are Veterans
