The Salvation Army of the Midlands is preparing for 2016 Summer Camp sessions at Camp Walter Johnson in Denton, North Carolina.
We have five separate one week summer camp sessions scheduled to start on June 13.
We anticipate sending nearly 100 children to summer camps this year and we are truly excited about providing this opportunity to local children in the community.
Before we can send these children to summer camp we need each child to be medically screened for head lice.
We are asking for C.N.A's R.N.'s L.P.N.'s and Nursing students to volunteer with us to medically screen children before leaving Columbia, S.C.
We will need volunteer nurses and nursing students to help from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. at The Salvation Army Center for Worship and Service (3024 Farrow Road, Columbia, S.C. 29203) for the dates listed below.
Please note that volunteers are asked to help here in Columbia at The Salvation Army office not at the Summer Camp location in Denton, North Carolina.
If you know of a nurse or a nursing student that may be interested in helping us please do not hesitate to contact me at andrew.mcintyre@uss.salvationarmy.org or 803-309-0436 cell.
(These hours will recorded and counted as volunteer hours for your organization. Please contact me for a record of these hours.)
Thank you for all that you do. Have a great day!
