Men, women, children, and four legged friends from across the Midlands will be standing up against sexual abuse and violence, one pair of heels at a time! Hosted by Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands, Walk A Mile In Their Shoes takes place in April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, at the South Carolina State House Grounds.
This annual event encourages the community to get involved in the fight against sexual violence and raises awareness about the no-cost, local services STSM provides for survivors of sexual assault and abuse. More than 2,000 supporters participated in last year's event!
YLS will be assisting with event from set up to check in and more! We are encouraging our male YLS donors to throw on a pair of heels while volunteering!
