Throughout the month of August YLS collected back to school items to help teachers prepare for the new school year in these unprecedented times. On Thursday, September 10th YLS and volunteers will gather in the gymnasium at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral located at 1931 Sumter Street to sort school supplies by school from 4pm to 7pm. On Friday, September 11th (time TBD) we will have volunteers pick up the boxed supplies from Holy Trinity and deliver them to one of four schools. Volunteers participating in supply delivery will be given one school located in either Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, OR Richland. We do ask volunteers be okay with carpooling or participating in a caravan while delivering supplies.
We do ask volunteers to bring their own masks. Gloves and sanitizer will be provided.
