Colder temperatures are quickly approaching, and The Salvation Army of the Midlands is in desperate need of volunteers to help with serving dinner to the homeless and hungry at the Rapid Shelter Columbia.
Rapid Shelter Columbia, formerly the Inclement Weather Center, is located at 191 Calhoun Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
- Volunteers should plan on arriving at 6PM
- Service will begin at 4:45PM and end at 7:30PM
- 3 volunteers are needed every week
- Bring a face mask
- Meals will be packed to go instead of served cafeteria style
- Volunteers will be located in the kitchen behind Plexiglas
This is a stand by shift, where you may or may not be needed. You will be notified the day of if your service is needed or not- please look out for an email from Sarah Dean on the day of the shift you have signed up for.
